Hi Bunnies.

Have you ever had a inconvenient wave of creative inspiration hit you late at night which keeps you up until 1am?

Well this happens to me and i suffered from this the other night, but the end result was that i made some brilliant art work. This is going in my portfolio.

I have always admired YouTubers such as Zoella, Sprinkle Of Glitter, Jim Chapman and Tanya Burr.

If it wasn't for these YouTubers (and many others!) i wouldn't of even thought about picking up a camera and making my own channel. I am grateful and inspired.

I'm currently experimenting with my channel by combining illustrations and film together.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.

I start my illustrations by using a Wacom tablet to draw the outline in black and also to colour in. I use the program adobe photoshop CS6.

Then i printed off my images and outlined the illustration in a fine liner to add definition.

I also like adding stitch, paint or glue to my illustrations to give a 3d effect.

My sewing machine is a Bernina 1008. I use a darning embroidery foot which allows me to draw with stitch.

My logo
Here is my fabric which i printed. It's of my rabbit called magic made into a angel.

Drawing, sketching, experimenting
The final pieces :-

I hope that you enjoyed my video and blog.

In 10 Years Time

In 10 Years Time
Hi Bunnies.

I watched Alfie Deyes (@pointlessblog) new video called "10 Years Time" and i enjoyed it. However, it made me reflect about the attitude i used to have in the past towards myself and i wanted to share with you.

I feel that i have plenty of time to fulfil goals which i want to achieve in my life time. I'm doing my best in my current situation which is all i can do.

I scanned the comment section of Alfie's video and i saw a few viewers saying that they will be 27 in 10 years time. I felt a small sense of panic from them.

This is my age at the moment and i want to reassure anybody who feels this way that there's no pressure what you do with your life. I'll be honest with you i'm still not 100% sure now but i am going with the flow.

It's you who puts the amount of pressure on yourself and it's you who is in control.

I used to put a lot pressure on myself when i was a teenager with what i wanted to do in my life. The more pressure i put on myself, the more i had absolutely no idea what i wanted to do.

However, since i have let the anxiety go i feel a lot happier and in control of my life. If you want to know how i got rid of the anxiety.

This is what i did :-

  • I stopped looking at everybody else's life. Everybody has their own life path and journey to take. It's not a race.
  • Enjoying each day as it comes
  • I made a vision board of goals which i want to achieve.
  • Keeping motivated by giving myself compliments each day "You are doing great Hayley" "Keep going" "You can do this"

I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the journey!

Why I Don't Shop At Topshop

Why I Don't Shop At Topshop
Hi Bunnies!

I wish Topshop would expand their horizons and produce plus sizes clothes.

The reason why i am writing about Topshop in todays blog post is because i went into the Nottingham store the other day with my friend. I don't usually shop in Topshop because nothing fits me, because i'm a plus size lady. However, just because i don't fit under Topshop's standard shape or size category doesn't mean i can't browse around and gain ideas

I like Topshop for their make up collection and John Lennon style sunglasses.

I browsed around at the clothes and took a few Instagram pictures (i liked their mannequins!)

I only liked the night wear section in Topshop because it's mostly Disney related.

Here is what i would buy if i could fit into it :-

Barbie Pyjamas

Disney princess pyjamas

Disney Villians pyjamas

Bambi pyjamas

The Little Mermaid pyjamas

Do you think that Topshop should expand to plus size? What clothes and products do you like in Topshop at the moment?

Leave a comment below.

48 Hours Of Fashion In Nottingham

48 Hours Of Fashion In Nottingham
Hi Bunnies.

On Friday 13th March i went to a local event called "48 hours of fashion" which is held in Nottingham city centre. It's completely free to go and i personally feel that it gets better every single year.

I found out about the event through Facebook and if you clicked on "attending" then you will receive a goodie bag.

I love freebies.

This is my goodie bag pictured below. It's a intu Broadmarsh and intu Victoria centre cotton tote bag with "Eat, Sleep, Shop, Repeat!" design on the front.

Inside was a Thorntons Alpini chocolate bar. Yum!

also inside was a "It's in Nottingham" guide which said the times for various cat walk shows and beauty demonstrations through out the two days which the event is on for.

 Monthly Fashion magazine

and finally a Versace perfume sample.

Not bad for a freebie!

I watched a live demonstration in Victoria centre by GHD's which showed how to get tousled curls which is going to be a popular look this spring and summer.

Followed by a cat walk show by a fashion label called "Roman"

Then it was time for the main fashion show in the market square. Performances were every hour followed by a live demonstration from beauty or fashion company. The catwalk show lasted around 20 minutes.

I was lucky enough to get a seat right at the front.

Here are a few photographs of the show :-

I had another goodie bag waiting for me on my seat in the catwalk show. This was a blue shopping tote bag which had the "the exchange" printed on the front. The shopping bag contained leaflets about the fashion show and where to buy all of the clothes from. I really liked how all of the clothes were based on Nottingham events and attractions such as Splendour festival, Nottingham Rivera and Wollaton Hall.

I hope that you enjoyed my blog post. If you went to the 48 hours of fashion then why not leave me a comment below.

Why I Love The Changing Rooms At H&M

Why I Love The Changing Rooms At H&M
Hi Bunnies.

I went to a event called "48 hours of fashion" today in Nottingham city centre. I will post a blog post about the event soon while i organise the photographs and film footage.

At this present moment i wanted to share with you my shopping experience in H&M. This happened after i went to the 48 hours of fashion event.

I don't normally shop at H&M because i find the the lack of plus size clothes frustrating. However i like to browse and gain outfit ideas.

I've discovered today that i can shop in the H&M basics range because a "Large" size did fit me. I tried it on in the changing room. If you are 5ft 8 tall like me and a size 16-18 go and have a browse:-)

Sizes seem to be different in every retail shop i go in. I guess it's better to try clothes on so that you know if it fits you.

I love the basics range because you can jazz a outfit up with accessories.

I've also come to a conclusion that i love H&M's changing rooms because they have great mirrors, lights and you can see yourself from all perspectives.

I'm not vein, i just like taking selfies. Haha.

Here is what i brought from H&M...
Blue vest. £3.99
Basics long vest £6.99
Grey T-shirt £6.99
Let me know if you've shopped in the basics range in H&M. Tell me what you think of the range.
