Holland And Barrett Haul. Product Reviews

Hi Bunnies.

I brought some yummy healthier treats and bath salts too. I wanted to write this blog post to share my opinion on each item.

Eat Real - Hummus Chips 79p

Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan crisps which are in the flavour "sea salt" they have 48% less fat than regular crisps and they taste delicious. I ate the whole bag with a smile on my face the entire time. Success!

Kallo - Dark Chocolate Rice Cakes £1.75

I really enjoyed these because of the chocolate on the top. Plain rice cakes would taste quite boring.

Magik - Dead Sea Bath Salt £5.99

Natural sea salt for bathing in. Sea salt is great for aching muscles, joints and also for sensitive/dry skin. I brought this because i don't live near the sea so i thought i could recreate my own ocean in my bath tub.

Neals Yard Wholefoods - Milk Chocolate Brazil Nuts £3.99

Yum!

Neals Yard Wholefoods - Plain Chocolate Raisins £1.59

I gave these to my Dad for fathers day last week. The whole package had disappeared in a day so i think these were a success.

Lavera Coconut Dream Bath Sea Salt £2.55

I loved the smell because it smelt like coconut ice-cream. My skin felt a little smoother afterwards but i don't think i would buy it again.

Provamel - Organic Rice Coconut Drink 69p

I drank this within about 10 seconds because i love coconut milk.

I Think I'm A Mermaid

Hi Bunnies.

I think i'm a mermaid because of the following reasons (not logical answers, these are made up in my mind!)
My favourite Ariel plush!
1) My favourite all time film is Disney's "The Little Mermaid". Ariel is my favourite Disney princess because she's free spirited, loves singing and music. I love her big red hair and curvy mermaid body.

2) Documentaries on the ocean fascinate me. My favourite is "The Blue Planet" which is narrated by Sir David Attenborough. I think that it's amazing what the human race has discovered so far, however we have so much more to explore.

3) Mermaids sparkle in the ocean and i achieve this by wearing shimmery eyeshadows and a bit of blush.  I'm not keen on matte colours.

4) I love long hair and it's my favourite. This could be curly, straight or wavy hair and i will gasp in amazement. I love Game of Thrones because of the variety of hairstyles using long hair.
I'm currently growing my hair long but it's currently at the giving up stage of when it gets past a certain length. Come on hair, you can do it! :)

5) Snorkelling is amazing. I was lucky enough to visit Discovery Cove in Florida last year and it is a amazing place. When you look underneath the water with your snorkel gear on it's a completely different world. The ocean is a quieter, calmer and beautiful place. I could happily live under the sea with Ariel and her friends.
6) Mermaids make friends with dolphins. I made a dolphin friend called "Rose" and she was the oldest dolphin at Discovery Cove. She was beautiful and gentle.

7) I'm a curvy woman (Uk size 16-18)

Let me know in the comments below if you think you're a mermaid too or perhaps have mermaid personality traits like me.

How I Made My Vlog Bag

Hi Bunnies!

I really enjoy making bags and clothes from recycled materials to make them into something new.

When i was shopping in Nottingham, i saw a tote bag in Accessorize which i absolutely loved but i didn't want to pay the price for it. A brain wave hit me and i thought "i could make this myself!"

Here is the bag :-
I demonstrated in my latest weekly vlog (watch below if you haven't seen it) how i made my vlog bag. However, i wanted to write it in a blog post as it's good for me to look back on and hopefully it will inspire you to make and create.

My creative skills involve free hand embroidery, a good eye for colour and photography.
(Thanks fashion design qualification!)
I rummaged around in my sewing box and i found a unused plain cotton tote bag and a baby grow (which was brought from a charity shop and it was 95p. I love the camera print!)
I cut away all of the pattern in the baby grow that i could use and sketched my camera design in pencil ready to paint.
Ready to stitch
I like these paints because you can
fix it with heat :)
Ta da:)
After i painted and stitched the fabric pieces onto the bag, it was time to attach the sequin sparkly trim which was at the bottom of my sewing bag. (I knew it would be useful one day!)
To make the font different from the original Accessorize bag, i decided to stitch the word "vlog" instead of "smile".
I used a darning foot for my Bernina 1008 sewing machine which allows you to draw with stitch (it's pretty cool!).

It's great when you make something completely unique and it cost nothing. Here is my Instagram picture of my final product :)

Let me know in the comments what you think of my bag.

The Body Shop Haul

Hi Bunnies!

I went to The Body Shop in Nottingham city centre and i brought myself a few goodies. I wanted to share what i brought with you.
I don't shop in The Body Shop very often but when i do it's to check out the body butters and shower gels (they always smell so delicious!). The Body Shop currently have a 30% off sale for non and existing members (it's why i had a browse).

Here are the items :-
I have ran out of all my skincare routine products (cleanser, toner and moisturiser) and i wanted to try The Body Shop's Seaweed range because i had read good reviews online. I have a oily/combination skin type and because of this i feel i have to invest in better skincare products to keep my skin looking clear.

The Seaweed facial, cleanser, toner and moisturiser kit is retailed at £20 (contents worth £28). A member of staff demonstrated the product on the back of my hand and it felt refreshing to the skin.
I will let you know how i go on with these products and what i think of them.

I spent over £25 because i wanted the free gift (i love freebies) so i brought a Strawberry body butter (retailed at £13) which smells amazing. I personally love a fruity scent for summer.
My free gift pack :-
I researched all of the items on The Body Shop's website and the free gift pack is worth around £18.

Orange body butter (£5) Lip butter (£2) Coconut shower cream (£2) Peppermint foot lotion (£2) Rainforest shampoo (£2) Hand cream (£5) and a Luffa (unknown price)

Leave me a comments below on what you love about The Body Shop.  I love how all of their products are cruelty free and not tested on animals.

Hayley
